Dear Donor,
Thank you for your support. Our project is moving forward, and young fellows such as Gustavo and Guilhermo are capable of advancing in their training for a better future. As you know, our POETA program understands the challenges that exist in developing the professional skills needed to meet the labor demand in Brazil. Partner organizations like AVAPE provide the physical infrastructure and staff necessary to implement sophisticated and comprehensive training programs, ensuring that the center will sustainably invest project resources to continue delivering results to beneficiaries.Your support allowed Gustavo, Guillermo and other participants, to take a step forward in the direction of their dreams.
Who better to express the impact of our program than one of our participants.
This are Maria Tereza Bittencourt Rosa words:
“I really enjoyed it, and I’ve learnt so much. I knew nothing about computers, but now I know quite a lot, and if I could I’d do it again. I also learned how to type, how to compose a Word text with the proper configurations, insert figures and prepare presentations. I didn’t use to like this part, but once I learned how to do it I began to enjoy making presentations and speaking in groups. I also learned to do calculations and create tables using Excel. I want to work as an office assistant, and with the course I’ve done I have a better chance. I’ll also be able to help other people there, without having to keep asking my boss questions all the time. He’ll appreciate my computer skills. I enjoy learning new things. I had already taken a private computer course, but the POETA course was really different. Here the room has a better structure and the teacher taught everything using a big screen, which helped a lot. I was sad when the course ended, and I intend to do other courses in this field. I’ve had several job interviews in the production area, and I know that when there is a vacancy in the administration area this will make all the difference. I want to work really hard to help my family and be independent”.
Thank you again for all you have done to help this cause.
Warmly,
Dario Soto, COO
