Five of the girls whose education we supported was graduated from college with degrees of economics, physics, education and nursing. They need to undertake licensing board review so that they will be licensed professionals eventually. With a license they will be able to tremendously improve their lives. Education is indeed the key to prosperity for poor and disadvantaged but highly talented girls.
Poor, disadvantaged but highly talented girls have only education as their way to social and economic advancement. Supporting them with funding especially during their board and licensing review and eventually their taking the board examination will mean success for them. This is the pinnacle and we need to support their quest which is now very near at hand.
After graduating from college, girls often have difficulty taking their board review which lasts for 5 months because of the lack of funds. There is a need to support them this time since they still have the opportunity and the fire in them to succeed in life. Review for licensing is expensive and done in the city so your support is badly needed.
The project is aimed to improve the life chances of schoolgirls of ultra-poor families by supporting their food, hygiene and educational needs. The long-term impact is for them to be successful as they grow and be contributors to the general welfare of their communities.
