In July we ran a campaign to help Charlie by amputating his leg and funding his need for a prosthetic leg. This campaign ran for three months and we collected approximately $1000.00 in donations, with this money we were able to fund his surgery at a local hospital in Dumaguete. This surgery and other doctor visits and follow-up visits have not cost us over $1500.00. We are currently in the process of working with local government units and our prosthetic provider in Davao to fund the travel and devices needed for Charlie to obtain his prosthetic leg.
In this campaign we also asked for funds to help Julie, a 22-year-old from Dumaguete, receive treatment for his club foot disorder. As Julie is older than 18, she is not eligible for free treatment at the Tebow Cure Hospital, so we are still working with local medical professionals to find a way for Julie to receive this treatment.
We will be working throughout 2020 to find the additional funds needed to complete the treatments for Charlie and Julie. Thank you to all who donated funds for their needs!
