From all the donations we have raised thanks to the Give for Youth program, we decided to open an English course at the RIA focused only in kids with an impressive scientific talent. 10 kids were selected aged 15 – 21 who live close to Nezahualcóyotl one of the marginalized that surrounds Mexico City.
The students have been taking English classes at the RIA since October 2012 and just finished their first level, in the scholarship we included: English Level 1 (12 weeks), Transportation and English books. We had 0% dropout rate and are very glad to share with you that we extended the scholarship for the next level.
Through this project, we aim to draw attention to the importance of learning English so that we can motivate students to strengthen their academic performance and use their talents to give back to their families and communities. We will also try to help them prepare for the best international competitions in their field.
Thanks for your support and for inspiring us to keep working hard.
