The Blue Cross of India rescue team got a tip off that 38 cats were being transported on a local train , tied in air tight gunny bags, to be slaughtered for meat. Immediately, the rescue team left to wait at the station where the cats were slated to be disembarked. The train arrived at the station and our heroic team pounced upon the poachers and grabbed the gunny bags. Immediately, the cats were transferred to crates and transported to the Blue Cross Shelter safely.
Cats are increasingly killed for meat. Every day, we get many calls for rescue to save these cats. The cats rescued in large numbers and need lot of care and food. This project will help rehabilitate these cats.
This microproject will help in providing food and care for these rescued cats. The cats have to be vaccinated and spayed before they are released in the shelter. The Donations received will help these cats get a second chance
