Greenhouse for all year veggies - Uganda (Wakiso)

The feeding of children around the world is a key factor in economic development.  Lend A Hand Uganda has been working for more than 6 years to support this goal in Wakiso District in Uganda.  As part of this effort, the building of a greenhouse will facilitate the provision of fresh vegetables year round.  The greenhouse solves the problem on excessive heat in the dry season and excessive water in the wet season, allowing a controlled growing situation.

• This fundraising project has collected money to build this greenhouse in 2021.  The completion of the greenhouse is expected by the end of April, with growing beginning immediately. 
• The vegetable growing plan includes kale, tomatoes and spinach initially.  Additional vegetables will be added during the year.
• Sufficient vegetables will be grown to feed 100 children, while they're in school.  Surplus food will be shared with the families that are working on the farm or have children in the lunch program.
