Matias’ five year old smile illuminated every corner of our offices when he received his new leg. Once we place the new prostheses in his little leg, he was jumping and running so energetically, that our doctors had to ask him to slow down, his happiness filled the entire room!
This adorable kindergartner lost his leg due to a negligent healthcare service, a bad injection that perforated one of his arteries when he was only 2 months old. He has never walk on his own and has always gotten around with the support of his mother and small crutches, but with your help we gave him the opportunity to have a better future and a normal childhood by using a prostheses. His new leg will allow him to develop and grow happy and healthy. He will be able to run, climb trees and even ride a bike someday.
The day we gave Matias his new leg, his mom cried the entire time and said it was a miracle, an opportunity for her and her baby to have a better life. Thanks to your donations, we could give him a new leg that will improve his development chances, strengthen his muscles and allow him to have a normal childhood.
On behalf of Matias and his family we want to thank you for your generosity and caring about changing his little life. When we first met him he seem eager to explore and discover the world around and now he will be able to do by himself standing tall and proud.
Help us help more children like Matias by telling you friends and family about our work!
Thank you for being this sweet baby’s hero!
