What type of artist are you?
What colors and textures draw you in?
Do you like to take pictures?
Do you rearrange your space when you make things?
Do you start writing your stories in the middle, or the beginning?
What do you do when something doesn't turn out like you had hoped?
These questions surface in ArtForce Iowa online workshops with youth ages 12-19 who have survived trauma. The answers vary widely, most of them deeply personal, and shared because they feel safe.
ArtForce Iowa is grateful for the power of art to unite us in conversation and to help build authentic relationships.
Our supportive arts community has expanded by 100 youth thanks to support from donors like you.
With your donations, ArtForce Iowa reached out to a fellow community-based organization that serves youth in Iowa. We lovingly packaged art supply care packages for each youth, and included crayons and colored paper if they had younger siblings.
