At the end of the year we want to bring joy to the women working in the bars of Pattaya, the women in our program and most importantly the children at Tamar Center. We want to bless them with gifts, a small bonus for the end of the year and we want to arrange a couple of bigger Christmas Parties in a local Hotel, especially for the women still working in the sex industry. A time out of their work to relax. Please help us to bring them joy, fun, food and gifts during this years Christmas Season!
There are thousands of women working in the sex industry in Pattaya. Currently, many of them are struggling. There are currently more women in Pattaya than Tourists and the competition between the women is high. There is also a lot of pressure on the women to make money for their families and to help with the rising costs in the country side, especially after the bad flooding that Thailand experienced this year. Our goal is to bring them joy and hope during this Christmas season.
During our Christmas Parties we want to bring some fun, good food and a message of hope to the women working in the sex industry. We will present them with offers of vocational training and some gifts as well. For the children at Tamar the gifts will be toys to play with and maybe some practical items that the mother's will choose for them. We will also select some nice gifts and a small Christmas Bonus for the women in our program to use where they need it most.
Our goal for the women is to leave Pattaya, maybe return to their families and to have a normal life outside of the sex industry. We will train the women job skills and help them to find employment or help them to start their own small business so that they can provide for themselves and their children. Also, when they return to their families, they will help to prevent other young girls and boys to start a work in the sex industry.
