In the male dominated society, even today women are considered Weak. Women still depend on the family members for anything. They even don't have liberty to take their personal decisions due to which they fall behind. Widow, divorced, Deprived and single mother are not respected in our society and they are left helpless. They somewhow manage to survive without any source of earning facing so many hardships. Such women keep searching for new opportunities of livelihood but their financial conditions become major obstacle in their growth and they get desperate everywhere.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan provided support and a source of sustainable livelihood to such widow, divorced, Deprived and single mother. The organization, with the financial support of GlobalGiving Foundation gaving free sewing machines to such 17 women. They got smile on their faces by getting free sewing machines as they were able to establish their self-employment with the help of the machines. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, after completing the documentation, organized a program in which sewing machines were given to those women.
All the beneficiaries had interest in sewing, moreover, they already had skills of sewing, but they were not able to buy sewing machine due to their financial conditions. But, now these women have got sewing machines and now they are able to start their livelihood and can live a dignified life.
The representatives of Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan follow up the beneficiaries through which we come to know about their success. Some of these success stories are given below:.........
** Sanju hails from a poor family in Makarwali, a distant village of the city. Thirty-five years old sanju got married 7 years ago, but after some time her husband died of illness and she left alone. sanju faced financial problems as she didn't have any source of income after the death of her husband. Initially, she started doing chores at others places but it didn't get her enough remuneration. When she came to know that a garments making training is going to be started by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, she immediately got herself registered for the vocational education training. She is an industrious woman and she did hard work in the training to learn.
It was her hardwork and conation which made Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan to give her a sewing machine. After completing the training, sanju started sewing work at her home. Now, she is getting so many orders to sew clothes and she has started earning better than ever. The living standard of her family has improved and now she is able to get her children better education. All this has increased her capacity and she has started her job with increased confidence. sanju thanks Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan and GlobalGiving Foundation.
** Anita is a married woman resides at a distant village in Kishangarh, Ajmer. The financial conditions of her family is so pathetic as her husband is mentally disordered. She has to face many hardships. Anita does odd jobs at others places and earn very little which is not sufficient to meet the family requirements and education needs of her children. Once, she participated in one of the workshops held by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan where she came to know about the distibution program of free sewing machines. She contacted us and applied for the free sewing machine. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sanshtan, after verifying the documents, gave her a sewing machine for better livelihood.
Anita was already interested in sewing work, but she could not buy it due to the financial conditions. But, now she has got sewing machine through which she has started livelihood at her home. She gets orders from local women to sew clothes which gets her better earnings. Anita thanks Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, GlobalGiving Foundation and the donors for the support.
