What an exciting fall the Club members have had building their garden project! The kids worked with residents of the Fanny Norwood Memorial Home, a local retirement community, to build their garden and refurbish a courtyard area. In the courtyard, residents and youth planted various types of flowers and shrubs to create an inviting outdoor oasis, while also making friends and building positive inter-generational relationships. In the garden area at their Boys & Girls Club, members created raised beds, prepared the area for planting, and plants herbs and lettuce. The plants are thriving, and we are looking forward to harvesting our fall crops and preparing for the spring planting season!
