Thank you for raising $350 for supporting the living and education expenses of our girl child N.
The girl came to Sphoorti 2 months ago. Her health status was in a disarray as the mother was not able to take care of the child.
Our efforts in the first month were focused on N's physical and mental health. She was suffering from Tenia Capitis on her scalp and was not able to adjust to the new environment. She was given proper treatment by a dermatologist and we sought the help of trained counselors to deal with her emotional issues. Today, when the school breaks for Dasara holidays, we sent her to stay with her relatives for 4 days so that she does not feel lonely. We gave her high quality diet to regain health quickly.
Through the help of donors like you, we are able to send Jyothi to a good English Medium Private School and arrange tuition classes after school hours. We also seek services of child counselors for occasional interactive sessions with children of her age. As she has made good friends with other children, N plays Kho-Kho and Frisbee with a lot of interest.
N says that she would love to stay at Sphoorti forever. She wants to complete her studies and then become a teacher so that more Sphoorti children can have good education.
With utmost dedication and responsibility, we have been able to give N a lot of hope and confidence to lead a decent life. Though she is just in STD VI, she has so much self confidence that we are reasonably sure of her leading a secure life like any other child. We are confident that we can save more children like N from indigence to prosperity and happiness.
We will return next academic year to seek N's support. Thanks again.
