Dear Friends,
When we launched this microproject, Gabriel was facing one of the most difficult challenges of his young life. A devastating car accident had left him with serious injuries, and his family was struggling through days filled with fear, uncertainty, and difficult medical decisions.
Today, we have something precious to share: Gabriel is doing better. He has celebrated his 10th birthday!
For Gabriel, who also lives with autism, recovery means much more than healing physical injuries. It means returning to familiar routines, rebuilding confidence, strengthening motor skills, and continuing the learning and communication activities that are so important for his development.
His rehabilitation journey is not over. He still needs care, patience, and ongoing support. But seeing Gabriel smile again, celebrate his birthday, and enjoy the simple pleasures of childhood reminds us why every act of kindness matters.
Although this microproject did not reach its $5,000 fundraising goal, the $53 raised through GlobalGiving was received and fully used to support Gabriel's treatment and rehabilitation. We are sincerely grateful to every donor who contributed.
As this microproject comes to a close, Gabriel's journey continues. Our commitment to supporting his recovery and development remains unchanged.
Thank you for reminding Gabriel and his family that even during life's darkest moments, kindness and compassion can bring hope.
With heartfelt gratitude,
SIKETIS NERGI / Sapling of Kindness
