With your support we will be able to give 30 vulnerable families in our centre meaningful food parcels and relieve the burden of not being able to keep food on the table. Restoring dignity to the parents and giving food security to the children is a meaningful investment in the family unit and general social security.
Food insecurity is a terrible problem in our area. Mothers are desperate to provide for their children's needs but have no support and no access to meaningful employment. This project is one pillar of support that will make a meaningful impact in the families in our Centre.
By providing for a meaningful food parcel for each family we will be relieving a huge burden from the shoulders of these desperate mothers and provide for dignity and restoration. Children will no longer experience consistent and unmet hunger needs and be able to develop and function in the way that they should.
The life changing impact of investing in the early years for children is well known. Having reliable access to consistently healthy food will have an undeniable impact and set in place a new trajectory for their lives. A life of opportunity, as opposed to the impoverished environments from which they came. Though often exposed to environments in which instances of abuse and crime are rife we are giving them a new reality and a hope for the future.
