CHAT's food and furniture programs are run by dedicated volunteers who furnish our housing and provide regular food deliveries custom to our residents' needs. Moving inside and getting a key to a space of your very own is a pivital moment for someone moving from the streets or shelter. What makes is a home is having a bed to sleep in, a kitchen to cook in, and food to prepair. CHAT provides the support needed to keep people housed and start the process of restoring their dignity. Our furniture team collects local donations and stores them in our warehouse. The recently purchased ladder allows us to increase our use of vertical space and insures the safety of our volunteers. Our food program recieves donations through Feeding America and delivers over 150 boxes a month of fresh food to homes with multiple residents that are customized with consideration for medical and other dietary needs and prefrences. Food and furniture creates a space for residents to engage with house volunteers and social services to stabalize and become the best version of themselves.
