In December 2025, devastating floods and landslides struck multiple regions across Sumatra, Indonesia, after prolonged heavy rainfall. Entire communities were submerged or buried, homes were destroyed, and access to many areas was cut off. The disaster has taken a severe toll on the population, with 1,140 lives lost, 163 people still missing, more than 400,000 displaced, and over 3 million people affected. More than 900 schools were damaged, leaving thousands of children without safe places to learn.
Since the disaster began, we have continued to respond alongside our partners on the ground. With the generosity of donors and supporters, we have provided not only food supplies, but also clean water, school necessities, and medicine for people impacted by the floods and landslides. We have distributed hundreds of aid packages to affected families across Sumatra. To date, 250 million IDR has already been sent as direct aid, and together we have now reached 360 million IDR in total support. We are truly grateful to everyone who has contributed so far.
Despite these efforts, the situation remains extremely challenging. Many families are still in urgent need of food, clean water, safe shelter, medical support, and assistance to rebuild their lives. Recovery will take time this is not something that can be resolved in one week or even one month.
In January, our team will be traveling to Sumatra to work closely with local teams, partners, and government authorities to support the next phase of recovery and long-term rebuilding efforts.
We are still receiving donations, and every contribution continues to make a real difference. If you have not yet given, you still can. If you have already supported, thank you
please continue to share so more people can help.
Every donation counts. Every share helps.
Together, let’s keep helping the people of Sumatra.
