After 20 years of devoted service at EATSF, it is time for our beloved Fire to retire. Recently diagnosed with advanced Degenerative Suspensory Ligament Desmitis, Fire can no longer continue in our program. Rescued years ago from the slaughter pipeline, Fire defied the odds and grew into one of our most impactful horses. Since age three, he has embodied our mission of helping individuals live without limits. Now at 23, Fire deserves the same care, dignity, and compassion he has given to others.
This will help make Fire's transition into retirement smooth, safe, and stress-free. Your support ensures he receives the specialized care, careful transport, and thoughtful planning needed as he moves to his loving retirement home in Okeechobee, Florida. We can honor Fire's years of service with the dignity and compassion he deserves. This effort reflects our promise to every horse who serves in our program, that when their work is done, they will always be cared for.
EATSF does not own its own horse trailer. The drive to Fire's new home can be expensive for a nonprofit organization. Your donation to their retirement will lessen the cost to transport Fire to Okeechobee. Our staff will also be sending Fire with at least three weeks of feed, hay, and supplements to help ease his transition in his new home. Your donation will help fund his initial retirement supplies.
This partnership creates a lasting legacy for Fire. For Fire, the immediate impact is the peace and comfort he will experience in his retirement. In the long-term, it shows the kindness of those who supported Fire and the compassion toward animals who have worked hard for us.
