Dear friend,

Thank you very much for your support of this mental health and wellbeing project in Tultitlán, State of Mexico. Thanks you your generous donations, in September we were able to collect a baseline survey of the knowledge of the children in terms of recognizing their emotions and knowledge of techniques for the peaceful resolution of conflicts.  This baseline will allow us to see the impact of the project over time and learn where our project is strongest, as well as identify areas of opportunity.  Some questions asked in this baseline are:

What emotions can you name?

Are there some emotions that are good and some that are bad?

What can we do when we feeel angry?

What does solidarity mean?

After participating this year in the Forming Values for Nonviolence model the children will complete another questionairre to see if their atttudes and knowledge of communication, emotions, and non-violence have shifted.  As for the individual phychological therapy sessions, we are using the Warwich-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing scale to measure the impact of the program on the mental wellbeing of the participants.

We are excited to share the advances of this project with you, as well as the greater Education and mental health project in Tuñtitlán, State of Mexico with you. Thank you again for your interest and support!
