This project will support Mr Stanley, a poor blind man from Mbaukwu in Anambra State, to feed well, take good care himself, alongside his wife and child and also, continue leading a healthy life. Mr Stanley is partially blind while his wife is completely blind and they have one surviving female child from four children. They survive by begging on the roadside, motor parks, markets etc. Your donation will help to empower and establish a business for them, in order to support them.
Blind individuals in Nigeria are more vulnerable to poverty due to limited opportunities for income generation and economic participation. Job opportunities that accommodate their needs are often scarce, leading to high rates of unemployment and dependency. Mr Stanley and his family, finds it very difficult to feed properly and take good care of themselves, as they're not able to receive support from people daily and most times, the support they get is not enough to sustain them.
With the funds that would be raised through this microproject, we will support them and establish a business for them which will be managed by their caregivers, in order for them to have a good source of livelihood, through which they can continue to take good care of themselves.
Mr Stanley and his wife will stop begging on the roadside, motor parks, markets etc., to survive and will be able to feed properly alongside their child, take good care of themselves and also continue leading a healthy life, through the business that would be established for them.
