Back in June 2017 we put out an appeal for funds to help us provide an Iftar meal for 2000 of Kolkata's ragpickers. We were worried that we wouldn't be able to raise enough funds in time and that the events might not all go ahead. But your amazing outpouring of compassion and generosity from around the world (literally!) meant that every rupee we needed was raised and that the poorest of the poor in Kolkata's most desperate slums and squatter camps were able to enjoy a good nutritious meal along with friends abnd family in the heart of their communities!
We want to thank you very much for your support in 2017 and ask you to subscribe to our occasional reports so that we can keep you updated on how, little by little, Kolkata's rag pickers are lifting themselves out of poverty, educating their children and reaching out for better lives.
