Work on Farmacia Viva Indigena continues!
The visitors center is almost built and the committee has been going out to work on it regularly. They have even already been receiving visitors, including a trip from one of the local schools of Paoyhan, so the youth could learn about the project!
Funds are being used to continue work on the visitors center and to continue facilitating work days for the committee members.
Everyone is still excited about the possibilities, and it seems they are on their way toward achieving the goals of revitalizing local knowledge, conserving plant biodiversity of the forest, and creating opportunities to generate income through ecotourism.
Although this microproject is being retired, the funding for Farmacia Viva will continue at Regenerate the Peruvian Amazon: Farmacia Viva Indigena. This fund was previously used toward a different project, but donations received are now going to Farmacia Viva Indigena. We welcome your support there!
Thank you for your generous donations!
