A Functional Laptop, A Boosted Mission

By Nambowa Ruth B-kasozi | Executive Director

A Powerful Upgrade for Daily Leadership

When our project, Equip the Leader, Empower the Mission, was launched, our administrative operations were facing daily hurdles. My previous computer was severely outdated and failing—frequently freezing, running at agonizingly slow speeds, and shutting down unexpectedly.

As the Executive Director of Another Hope Children’s Ministries, balancing administrative reports, international partnership communications, and child sponsorship coordination requires constant, reliable computer access. To make matters more challenging, navigating this technology breakdown coincided with a painful knee injury. Sitting upright for prolonged stretches just waiting for a sluggish machine to boot up, save a file, or open a browser window placed unnecessary physical strain on my body and hindered my recovery.

Real Impact & Measurable Progress

Thanks to your generous hearts, the arrival of this new, fast laptop has completely revitalized my workflow and brought immediate operational relief:

  • Clearing the Backlog (60% Complete): With a machine that executes commands instantly, I have already cleared roughly 60% of the administrative and reporting backlog that had accumulated over past months.

  • More Dynamic Storytelling & Video Updates: The increased processing speed and memory allow me to edit and produce clear video updates without crashes, enabling us to share the firsthand stories of our children and community programs directly with our global family.

  • Health and Comfort: The swift performance means less idle, painful sitting time, allowing me to alternate between work and required physical therapy/rest without sacrificing productivity.

Looking Ahead

Equipping grassroots leadership directly empowers every child and family we serve across Kkona, Wakiso District. Because our administrative engine is running smoothly again, we can focus our full energy where it matters most: advancing child protection, community health, and educational opportunities.

Thank you for recognizing that behind every thriving project is the need for functional everyday tools. Your support has lifted a profound weight off our shoulders and restored peace to our daily work.

May God bless you richly for your love and generosity!
