Every young person deserves the opportunity to discover their potential, even when their educational journey has been interrupted. For school dropouts living in vulnerable communities, access to practical skills can provide an important pathway toward rebuilding their future.
F SSIBU Mission Foundation is seeking donor support to equip 20 computers for a digital empowerment program serving school dropouts. The initiative will provide practical computer training while creating an environment where young people can regain confidence, develop useful skills and explore new opportunities.
Participants will receive hands-on instruction in computer literacy, typing, document preparation, spreadsheets, presentations, online research, digital communication and internet safety. The program will also expose learners to the potential of technology in entrepreneurship, employment and continued education.
For many beneficiaries, this may be their first meaningful opportunity to regularly use a computer. The program will therefore focus on patience, practical exercises and mentorship so that learners can progress from basic knowledge to greater confidence and independence.
Donor investment will support the acquisition of 20 computers as well as the infrastructure required to make the learning environment effective. This may include internet connectivity, electricity, training materials, maintenance and instructional support.
The impact of the initiative will not be measured only by the number of computers purchased. Success will be reflected in the number of young people trained, skills gained, learning opportunities accessed, employment pathways explored and entrepreneurial ideas developed. Monitoring these outcomes will help demonstrate responsible use of donor resources and identify areas for continuous improvement.
A contribution to this program is an investment in human potential. The computers will become tools through which young people can access knowledge, develop skills and reconnect with opportunities.
