Leaving school early can significantly limit a young person’s opportunities, particularly in communities where poverty, family challenges and limited access to educational resources make it difficult to continue formal education. F SSIBU Mission Foundation seeks to provide a practical second chance by equipping a digital learning space with 20 computers to support school dropouts with relevant, marketable skills.
The program will create an inclusive environment where young people who have discontinued formal schooling can access computer training, digital literacy, internet safety education and practical technology skills. Rather than allowing school dropout to become the end of a young person’s journey, the initiative will help participants develop abilities that can open pathways toward employment, entrepreneurship, vocational training and further education.
With 20 computers, more learners can receive hands-on training instead of depending solely on theoretical lessons. Participants will learn essential skills such as typing, Microsoft Office applications, online research, digital communication, basic graphic design, digital entrepreneurship and responsible internet use. Training will be structured around practical assignments that build confidence and demonstrate measurable progress.
Donor support will make this transformation possible. Contributions toward purchasing computers, establishing the learning environment, providing training materials and maintaining the equipment will directly invest in young people who need another opportunity to build productive futures.
