World Vision is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children and youth in poverty across America through providing vital educational programs and supplies. We seek partners to help us serve children and youth in communities where achieving success in school is a challenge. Our goal is to strengthen the academic achievement of students in need in the U.S., helping them gain a vision for their future that includes being educated for life.
World Vision offers scholarships for higher education to at-risk high school students who demonstrate leadership potential and participate in World Vision programs. The funds provide encouragement and assistance for vulnerable youth to enroll in and stay in college. After a competitive scholarship process, 27 youth from eleven different states were awarded scholarships ranging from $500-$4,000. For many they are the first in their families to attend college.
Recently, a scholarship awardee was featured on World Vision's blog. To hear more about how our programs and the Empowering Youth scholarship help youth click on the link below.
