Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, to prevent violence against women, often organizes several awareness programs that help women to get honour and dignity in the society. The awareness programs has been successful to bring positive changes to the views and thoughts of people about women. Another benefit of the programs is that women are becoming aware of their rights. In the series, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has organized awareness programs in distinct villages.
The details of the awareness programs held in the distant village of Pisangan block by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan with the financial support of GlobalGiving Foundation is given below:
Puppet Show:- With the support of GlobalGiving Foundation, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan put efforts to make people aware of the prevention of child marriage and female foeticide through puppet show. In the puppet show, awareness message was delivered to the society through a play. The puppet show was held at 11 distant villages by the organization where more than 700 women, men and girls became the audience. Getting the awareness message through the puppet show, women and girls made aware of the prevention of child marriage and female foeticide and they took oath to oppose the evils. More than 700 villagers became the beneficiaries of the program directly or indirectly.
Workshop:- Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organized workshop in three distant villages of Pisangan Block where more than 150 women and girls took participate. Our activists made the female audience aware of their legal rights in the workshop. The audience listened to the activists carefully and got information of their legal rights. Some of the participants, shared their experience with others and got legal consultation regarding their problem. At the completion of the workshop, all the women participants thanked Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan and GlobalGiving Foundation.
Awareness Rally & Signature Campaign:- Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sanstha, under "End Violence", organized awareness rally and signature campaign. The organizations selected five distant villages to organize the rally. More than 300 women participated in the awareness rally and supported. Women participants raised voice through awareness slogans and delivered message to the male dominated society. Through the awareness rally, the message for girl education, gender equality & dowry was delivered. All the villages and Panchayat officials supported the program and participated in the signature campaign. All women participants supported the program directly through participating in the signature campaign at the end of the rally. The Panchayat officials thanked Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan and GlobalGiving Foundation.
RSKS India Activist Feedback !!
Our activists met with a young couple in the awareness program held by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan. When the activists had conversation with the couple they came to know that the couple has been married for last three years and it very often between them to have triffles and sometimes the situation becomes so worst that the neighbours have to interven the matter. Then, our activists had counselling with the young couple and consulted them. The couple listened the activists carefully and promised to avoid the triffle arising situations. Now, the young couple lives their married life happily and they thank to Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan and GlobalGiving Foundation to direct them towards happy life.
