Dear Friend Namaste!!

A warm Greeting from RSKS India !!

We thank you from the core of our heart for your valuable support through GlobalGiving.

Rural marginalized women are still face so many restrictions and practise orthodox traditions which don't let them make their dreams true. It is often seen that rural women work as labour in fields for less remuneration. They wish to have their own source of livelihood, but the financial conditions become obstacle for them. Even they don't get support from the family which makes them desperate.

In order to strengthen such needy women financially, we put our effort to join them with self help groups. Here, these women get loan at low rate of interest through self help groups which they utilize for economic activities. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan formed 7 new self help groups in distant villages in the session. 73 women members have been joined to these self help groups. In these self help groups, women members deposit their savings every month and based on the savings, with the help of bank they get loan. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan provided loan amounted to Rs. 8 lack 30 thousand to these 7 self help groups at low rate of interest. All women members utilized the loan for economic activities. Some of the members have started joined venture and established their livelihood as dairy production, fancy stores, provision store, sewing, goat husbandary, vegetable shops, etc. through which they are getting better income.

The members deposit installments of loan in bank in due time and along with it they also increase their business activities. Now, these women support in nurturing their families which helps to increase their confidence. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan takes meetings of these self help groups every month where we discuss their work. If any members has problem in her work, then we solve it in the meeting.

Capacity Building Training:- Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organized one-day capacity building training for improving the living standard of women and to build their capacity. More than 110 women participated in the training where they came to know about proceedings of self help group and also got essential details of bank accounts. They also got minute of self help group meeting. The organization's officials and project workers informed them about government and financial plans by which they may get benefits.

The members of self help groups formed by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan established various self-employment units which shows success stories of several women. Among these success stories, some of them are given below.........

Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan formed a self help groups in a remote village in Pisangan block through which members got loan from bank. 11 members of the self help group got loan from bank through the group which they utilized to establish the self-employment. 42 years old Janaki is one of the 11 members whose family economic condition is worst. Janaki got loan through self help group and she bought a hand drawn cart and started selling fruits and vegetables on the trolley. She sells fruits and vegetables in the village which gets her a good income. She sells all the stuffs till evening and the next day she buys fruits and vegetables from vegetable market. Now, her family is properous as she has got sustainable source of better livelihood. Janaki thanks Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, GlobalGiving Foundation and the donors for the support.
