So far this year we have already given emergency phones to two battered mothers escaping domestic violence with their children. Phones are life saving for victims in fear of their lives and the lives of their children. It may seem like a small thing, something we take for grated every day. But a phone can be an empowering tool for a victim.
Tanya who escaped from Germany writes "Thank you so much! I really had no idea how I was going to manage to speak to my case manager Julie, my mom, my dad and the attorney you guys got for me. The phone at the shelter is used by everyone and it is always busy. I feel so much safer now."
The AODVC team wants to thank you for providing emergency phones to victims in need! Best wishes!
