Josia's Dream... a little bit closer!

By Deidre Kwenani | Project Leader

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who helped to bring Josia's dream closer to reality! With your support, we will be able to finance an entire year for Josia to attend university. This will include his tuition, academic essentials, and room & board on campus.

Josia words are a beatiful as his paintings; here are a few of his sentiments after finding out this project for him was fully funded:

"Looking ahead I am both excited and humbled by the opportunity to enter a new environment. The idea of meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures motivates me greatly, as I believe growth often begins outside of one's comfort zone. While I have heard a lot about orientation- and admittedly feel a little nervous- I see it as a chance to learn, adapt and build discipline early on.

As an undergraduate stepping into a new place and mindset, I am commited to approaching this journey with focus, humility and responsibility. I understand that success in a new environment is not only about intelligence, but about consistency, character, and the willingness to learn from others. My goal is to fully commit myself to this transition so that I may thrive academically and personally, and make the most of the opportunity entrusted to me.

Thank you sincerely for your continued support and belief in my journey. It is deeply appreciated and does not go unnoticed.

Warm regards,

Josia"

And there you have it! So much talent, ambition, and gratitude from this young man. He is surely to make the most of this next year in his life.

Thank you all once again!

Love
