Josia is a 19- year old who has been with Mammadu since he was 7. His dream is to pursue higher education, and as the first Mammadu student to have such dreams, we want to support him! His goal is to attend North-West University in South Africa to earn a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management. Why? Let's see what Josia has to say: "I believe studying there would be more than an education; it would be a life-changing experience that will shape how I think, lead, and contribute to others."
From the words of this wise young man: "I'm a very social and people-oriented person, and I aspire to make a positive impact in the corporate world- not just for personal growth, but to contribute meaningfully to my community. I have been blessed to receive sponsorship and support for my education, and that has shaped my dream of one day giving the same opportunity to other young people. I want to help them believe in their potential and become someone who makes a difference."
"My long-term goal is to pursue a master's degree in my field to further develop my skills and position myself where I can truly be of service- both in business and uplifting others." - Josia
Our broader goal is to provide children with educational opportunities, healthcare and proper nutrition. With these simple things, they have a greater chance of passing the grade 10 exam required to ultimately graduate from high school. If the child does not pass the exam, their education stops at grade 10. The kids at Mammadu have a better chance of going to college or achieving employment to overcome poverty. Josia is proof that Mammadu (run exclusively through donations) is working!
