Thank you for your generous contributions for the unfortunate bright rural students through esteemed organization GlobalGiving.
CHHASE emerged for the purpose of educating tribal children.We planned to abolish child labor in Tiruvallur district by 2015. As per our goal, CHHASE has educated 9000+ child labors, drop-outs, orphans and mainstreamed them in formal schools.CHHASE has completed the target and made Tiruvallur district child labor less.
But our services not come to an end. we have come across many children in rural area are bright, but their economical condition is very poor and many rural children are very poor in their school studies, since they are first generation learners. We felt the need of after school activities are necessary for the rural disadvantaged children. And in our activities, we have identified the economically disadvantaged poor students in rural areas, where the students are becoming drop outs/ child labor because of lack of timely educational support, uniforms, chappals, shoes and other needs. In our analysis most of the poor girl students in the High Schools are not attending schools regularly because of poverty, child labour, descrimination among the community.
Your support help us to provide education to 15 poor girls, whose parents are either landless agricultural laborers or no opportunity to earn income. Many girl children are waiting for the support to get education. An another 300+ girls are in need of support and CHHASE facing difficulty to provide education support as more and more are approaching us for support.
The Girl Children age group is between 10 year to 16 years and studying from 6th to 12th standard. We are motivating the Girls and Poor parents about the education importance, disadvantages of illeteracy in the evening times. Mean while we are providing school fee,Education material support, Note books, Test papers, Scale, Compass Box, Shoes, Pens, Pencils, Erasers, Writing Pad, Colour Pencils, Sketches, etc to these economically deprived poor girlchildren. With this timely educational support the students are motivated and attending school regularly with out any hurdels. The Children parents are very happy for this kind gesture and expressed sincere gratitude.
