Educate Cambodian Kids Impacted by AIDS- Earn the BEST bonus ever !

You are receiving this report because you have, in the past, supported our efforts to help educate Cambodian kids impacted by AIDS.

Since 2000 Kasumisou Foundation has actively supported the education of children who are cruelly impacted by the twin burdens of extreme poverty and HIV/AIDS in their family. Children in our AIDS Patient Family Support school are strongly supported and encouraged in their efforts to stay in school as a means to break the chain of inherited poverty.

For example, October is the month when children return to school. Public schools require that all students wear a standard uniform and have a stack of standardized notebooks for their classes. Our program purchased 2 uniforms for each of our current roster of 35 students, as well as purchasing a new bookbag and other supplies for each of our students. As the year progreses, we make certain that our kids can attend school fully equipped. This is important because not only are  students who are improperly supplied or dressed  are often  subjected to ridicule from other students as well as  possible discipline from the teacher. This atmosphere can be damaging to self esteem and overall performance for our students.

Our efforts over the years,  have included paying for school fees and uniforms, providing supplies, paying for tutoring, and awarding bicycles to students who are at the top of their class . Now, after 15 years, we have students who have graduated from middle school, high school and 2 college graduates  in a country that has  an average education level of 6th grade.

The purpose of this project  report is to help you understand how our project works and also to remind you that this project is signed up as a  a part of a special  fundraising event held by GlobalGiving that offers  some special  bonus awards for contributions made in December. There are three possible ways to " win"  for our project:

1) Each new sign up for a recurring donation that is begun  during the month of December and still in effect for a period of 4 months or more will receive a one month matching donation.

2) Projects which raise $3,000 or more from 30 unique donors can qualify for a cash  bonus award.

3) Please join us for the best bonus award ever- the sure knowledge that your contribution and sustained support can propel these kids forward to a new middle class life, breaking the cycle of inherited poverty.

Now as we end 2015, we would like to thank all of you, our generous donors, for your great kindness and support and for sharing the belief that our kids have the ability to succeed.

Thank you,

Barbara & Mark Rosasco
