During the period of the project, University of the People, continued provide access to higher education for students in the US and around the world. It worked to promote lower education costs and helped democratize higher education. To date, over 1500 students from 136 countries have been accepted. UoPeople continued to attact grassroots support- with more people showing their support by joining its Facebook page- and continued to attract media attention- appearing in numourous news articles. It worked on its scholarship system, opening a Micro-Scholarship Portal, where donors can help students in need directly, and continued to advocate for the right to education for Dreamers and other students.
