Easter Gift - Sponsor A Child

Dear DAKTARI Friends and Supporters,

First, I would like to say a huge THANK YOU for your support and generous donation toward our 'Easter Gift - Sponsor A Child' project. Your trust and support means a lot to DAKTARI. 

During these 3 months of campaign:

We are very proud to have had the opportunity to inspire, motivate and educate over 90 underprivileged children, to care for their environment through the medium of a wildlife orphanage. We did a survey for the children's parents, and here are a summury of the results:

• 99% of the parents have seen a difference in their child's behavior since his/her time at DAKTARI.
• 87% of the parents think that their child's respect toward other people since his/her time at DAKTARI has improved.
• 78% think that this stay at DAKTARI is beneficial for their kids
• For the parents, the 3 most important things are: 1. Interaction with animals (39%) 2. Working with international volunteers (31%) 3. One to one teaching (25%)

It's Holiday Season! Make a child happy!

Our "Easter Project" has been retired from Global Giving without being completely funded. However, did I mention that you can always support a child and make him happy during this Holiday Season? Well, you can! From July to September, don’t miss the opportunity to make another donation, as a gift for an underprivileged child who doesn't have the chance to go on Holiday, and as a gift on behalf of your loved one.

Indeed, our Virtual Gift concept does exactly that - rather than just asking for donations to cover the cost of the children attending DAKTARI, we ask you to make your donation on behalf of someone else and we send you a personalised gift certificate to be given to this person. So, interested?

• There is a minimum donation amount of just $10
• To receive your personalised certificate after making your donation, just email us the name of your gift recipient.
• For donations of $175 or more, we'll also send a personal thank you letter from the child!

Indeed, it costs $175 for 1 child to stay at DAKTARI for 5 days of education, the full board accommodation, three nutritional meals a day and extra activities like the day trip to a Game Reserve that we give them. So far, thanks to our different “Virtual Gift – Sponsor A Child” campaigns, we raised a whoppping $5,922! So, all of your wonderful gifts have helped pay for 34 children to benefit from our project. Amazing!
