Investment in women and girls, is a proven path to reduce poverty.
Your support helped us to provide better and sustainable livelihood to widows and poor women, 6 sewing machines were given to 3 widows and 3 to poor women with your support through GlobalGiving Foundation. The widows and poor women are happy with your support and they are thanking you. Now they are confident and feel safe. They said that with this sewing machines, we can able to start our sewing business and earn to overcome the poverty.
One of our beneficiary, who got a sewing machine 6 months back told “My name is Indra.I am married and having two kids.My husband is a casual labor. With his meager income, we are unable run our family and unable to send our children to school. One year back, I joined in CHHASE VTC sewing training.I completed my training after 3 months. Mr.Vincent paul guided us to go for job in textile company.But my home is far off from company and there is no frequent bus service. I expressed my difficulties and my family poor condition. Mr.Vincent paul gave me a sewing machine and told us to start our self business. First one month I earned Rs. 250 per day and after that I started earning Rs.500 average per day. Now I am confident and can able to send my children to school without any difficulties. Thank you for giving a safe and secured life”
Further with your support, We are now training 120 youth and women in embroidery, garment and beautician skills in our CHHASE VTC .
