All babies deserve to be clean, dry, and healthy. Families experiencing homelessness simply cannot afford many basic needs- including diapers for their children. This project will provide diapers at no cost to community partners including, but not limited to Golden House, House of Hope, and Freedom House.
Diapers are a basic, yet often overlooked need. Families experiencing homelessness simply cannot afford diapers for their children. By providing the homeless shelters with diapers, we empowering families to live cleaner, healthier lives as they focus on paths out of homelessness and out of poverty.
Jake's Diapers provides diapers at no cost to trusted community partners: social service organizations already helping families in need through comprehensive programs and services. Distributing diapers through community partners ensures diapers reach those who need them most. It also provides partnering organizations with a resource- diapers- they are not normally able to provide, increasing the services they can offer and attracting clients who could benefit from their mission.
By collaborating with local agencies who are working on breaking the cycle of poverty, the long term impact of solving the basic need of diapers has a positive socio-economic impact in our community.
