The objective of this project is to construct and furnish a dedicated space for teenagers. Approximately 150 teenagers in our community will benefit directly from the development of this space. Libraries have long served as vital community hubs for education, exploration, and personal growth. One crucial and yet overlooked aspect of a modern library is the inclusion of a designated teen section. This space will support personal growth and self-discovery.
In Athens, a city of 643,542 residents, 19% of whom are foreign-born, there is a shortage of accessible multilingual resources for diverse communities. The gap leads to educational disparities, integration challenges, and cultural isolation, especially for migrants, refugees, and underserved locals. The impact on children and teenagers is profound, depriving them of the future they can achieve and living the life they deserve.
