This project started the movement of collaboration between communities and organizations. Raising Awareness with Students has since visited Washington, DC, created a student-led cohort through which we require month training participation based on topics like race and health. The students will have oppurtunities for leadership and development. Executive board member students also have the oppurutnity to grow into a intern and eventually paid staff or volunteers.
Through this student-led program, we are hoping to bridge the gap of consistency in education, awareness and prevention. Supporters to our project are tremendously crucial to the advancement of our missions and goals.
We are hoping to be connected with many more community organizers and other ways in which we can engage our community through our new virtual reality.
