With an increase of need around the world during the COVID-19 pandemic, we cannot thank you enough for your support during this time! Your donation has allowed us to continue to serve the most vulnerable in our community during this crisis.
Although we did not quite reach our goal of supporting all 150 families represented in our feeding program over the last couple months, we were still able to have a tremendous impact in the community. With the first disbursement of funds we provided 118 families with a store account to purchase essentials, and with the second disbursement, 120 families. Thanks to YOU these families did not go hungry over the last two months.
We are currently awaiting the final disbursement from this micro-project which should allow us to provide an additional 150 families with support in the month of August (our goal!!!) and 75 families in the month of September.
As the pandemic continues, it looks like our feeding program will not be able to resume in the foreseeable future. In response, we have created a new micro-project to continue in helping keep the youth of Bienvenido, and their families, from experiencing starvation during this pandemic. We’d be so grateful if you’d consider making another donation to our COVID-19 support fund and/or helping to spread the word of our work and this need.
