At the outset, HOPE foundation would like to convey our heartfelt gratitude and thanks to all the donors who have supported our micro project 56989 -Computer Education need of the HOUR!!
We were able to raise a small amount of $214.00. This has been a very special project for HOPE foundation as it helps the underprivileged children and youth from Kannaginagar Slum Community in Chennai to have direct access to computers and computer education. HOPE foundation, over the years, has been able to overcome the digital divide for a few children from this slum area however the need is great. Covid-19 pandemic also brought to light the disparity in availing education during the lockdown. Children from slum communities if not provided with quality education and job-oriented skills then they are bound to get entangled in the vicious circle of crime and abuse. The amount raised from this micro project was utilized to pay one month salary of the Computer Teacher who engages the students of HOPE school in teaching computers. A total of 181 students from 6 th to 10 th std., benefitted through this support. HOPE foundation is providing computer education to the underprivileged children to develop their competencies for the past few years and as mentioned there is a great need to continue providing computer education to many more children to transform their lives for better. Hence we request you to stand with us in supporting the children in need.
Thank You!!
