This micro-project protects 40 adolescent girls at a Children's Home in India. While we have successfully completed 400 feet of the front-side compound wall with gate, the facility remains critically exposed due to a collapsed section at the back. This gap creates immediate risks of intruders, stray animals, and severe flooding. We are building a secure, permanent replacement but are short exactly $1,700 to finish the work. Your donation closes this final gap and ensures their total safety.
The safety of 40 vulnerable children is currently compromised. A collapsed 200-foot section of the old back-side wall has left their sanctuary dangerously open to intruders and stray animals. Beyond security risks, this breach has caused a "drainage crisis," leading to severe flooding that threatens the home's hygiene and structural integrity. Having already completed the main front-side wall, we are just one step away from full security, but we lack the final funds to close the perimeter.
This project provides the final funding to construct the remaining 200 feet of a robust, reinforced compound wall. By completing the full 600-foot perimeter, we will immediately restore a safe environment for the children. Built on a deep, stable foundation with high-quality cement and steel, this wall is designed to last. This swift reconstruction will not only provide 24/7 security but will also fix the drainage issues, permanently stopping the flooding that currently threatens the children
The completion of this wall provides a permanent foundation of safety, ensuring the home remains a secure sanctuary for years to come. By removing the constant threats of intruders and flooding, we create the stability necessary for the children's long-term growth, healing, and education. This project is highly sustainable: while your one-time gift completes the physical structure, our partnership with a Belgian organization covers all ongoing daily operational costs.
