In South Africa, little efforts are dedicated to the skills growth of girls and young women. An innovative approach is to equip girls with the information they require to create change in their own community, based on their ability to identify their skillset. Girls often underestimate how valuable their talents are, and through this workshop, we are able to help girls identify how to grow and develop their soft skills.
In South Africa, girls often don't have access to the same educational platforms as boys. In order to challenge this, we're working with girls to improve their communication skills, interpersonal skills and critical thinking skills. This improves levels of confidence, and will help girls feel as powerful players in their communities and South Africa at large.
Our workshops target an under-represented demographic in South Africa - adolescent girls. By engaging girls in life-skills based education workshops while encouraging them to play a game of football, we promote a healthy self-esteem, body ownership and safe space to discuss concerns and challenges. By contributing to our workshops, you are able to ensure that more girls in South Africa have access to the accurate information they have a right to.
Your donation supports 60 girls in South Africa by giving them the opportunity to learn what soft skills are and how they can use these for their own growth. Our workshops are tailored to educate participants about how they can identify their skillset, how they can identify what they enjoy doing, and what the options for skills development are. We identify the skills that contribute to soft skills development: basic interpersonal communicative skills, critical thinking, social intelligence.
