Some use unsafe materials, leave school to find pads, miss part of an exam, or fail to complete their papers. This project will remove this barrier by making emergency pads available at school.
This microproject will supply 20 cartons of sanitary pads to restock the pad banks already donated to selected schools. Female students who begin their periods unexpectedly during examinations can collect emergency pads and complete their exams without interruption.
Regularly stocked pad banks will help female students manage their periods safely at school, reduce missed classes and examinations, and prevent poor academic performance linked to a lack of sanitary pads. The project will also help girls feel more confident attending school during their periods.
