We have unfortunate news about Janet. On Wednesday morning of August 23rd, Janet passed away. Although many people tried to help her, she was unable to survive through the tragic accident. Her condition was too severe. Janet spent the rest of her life in pain and depressed. One of the biggest obstacles for Janet’s recovery was out of our hands. The hospital workers in Kenya have been on strike for nearly a year. The only thing that had given Janet comfort was having her family close by. We were able to provide her family an apartment near the hospital so that they could visit Janet daily. Those daily visits gave Janet love, comfort and companionship in her dying days. Truly… the best medicine available to her. Her family was instrumental in her comfort and care, turning her to avoid bed sores, bathing her, feeding her and loving her. We thank everyone who helped make some of her days more comfortable.
