This past August, more than 100 children with fluency disorders, speech-language pathologists, graduate students and volunteers gathered on the shores of Big Blue Lake in Holton, MI for an amazing week of laughter, tears, networking, learning and fun.
We would like to take the time to THANK EACH OF YOU for your generous donation to our program. Your donation to the Camp Shout Out Scholarship Fund allowed several children to attend the 2014 session who otherwise would not have been able to afford the fee.
Just recently we received this email from a parent of a high school student who was able to attend Camp Shout Out because of receiving a scholarship:
“Camp Shout Out is the one place where my son feels like he belongs. It is a space where not only is he working on his communication skills, but where he also has friends. Friends who understand what he goes through daily. My son has been bullied about his stuttering, but when he comes home from Camp Shout Out he sticks up for himself. His confidence soars!”
Stories like this are what keeps each of us working as hard as we can to make a difference in the world for young people who stutter and we COULD NOT do it without YOU!
We would like to take the time to THANK EACH OF YOU for your generous donation to our program
We are honored by your support of our program and hope you will continue to join us in making the world a better place for young people who stutter.
