Dear friends,
We hope you're having a fantastic summer! We just got back from the Spelling Bee Summer Camp and we couldn't wait to share all the fun details with you. We spent the last week in the village of Godlevo in Rila Mountain with the best 30 spellers in Bulgaria and their English language teachers.
The theme of the camp was mindfulness and self-care, which we incorporated into our daily routines. We had sessions on meditation, journaling, creating collages and even some yoga. It was a great way to learn how to take better care of ourselves, both mentally and physically.
Each day was packed with fun and engaging activities. We started every morning with a meeting and some energizers to get everyone pumped up. The campers loved taking part in the American Afternoon - learning about American history and culture and playing classic games like sack races and tug-of-war. We made tie-dye t-shirts, roasted s'mores and sang camp songs. We went on a fantastic hike, which was a great way to connect with nature. The teachers had a chance to learn about using technology and share activites which work best in their classroom. In the evenings we organized Quiz Night, Amazing race and Scavenger Hunt. The highlight of the camp was definitely the talent show - there were so many incredible performances, from singing and dancing to magic tricks and comedy skits.
The Spelling Bee Summer Camp has benn an unforgettable experience filled with learning and laughter. We wish you could have been there to enjoy it with us!
Thank you for your support! Together we made the Spelling Bee Summer Camp possible!
