The LA Corps employment training program provides computer access to young adults seeking employment and college enrollment. The current computer lab lacks sound and media capabilities. This project will provide job seeking young adults access to an upgraded mobile media lab. The new media lab will provide young adults an opportunity to create video resumes, social media profiles, and the flexibility to work on group projects with a laptop instead of a bulky desktop.
A lack of professional social networks and a lack of computer basics limit employment prospects for young adults. This project will provide the necessary tools for youth to engage with professionals through social media. A new media lab will allow youth to learn computer basics needed to apply for employment. This project will increase computer proficiency among young adults and create a strong employer network.

Trainings offered include job readiness, career development, driver's education, and a social media basics. Participants will have access to a media lab that enhances their professional portfolio and increases employment opportunities. This project will fund the purchase of ten laptop computers and a mobile storage cart. One hundred young adults will benefit from the media lab.
