Did you know that Raising A Reader is not just found in schools? RAR is implemented in a variety of settings outsid of the traditional classroom. RAR programs can be found in the following places:
Each setting is unique and helps us reach more children each year. While each agency is committed to early literacy and family engagement, many are lacking in one vital way: They don't have a dedicated library on-site.
With your support, RAR can provide enough books to build libraries at our implementation sites that do not have a dedicated book collection. RAR will work with specific sites to make sure their libraries are stocked with specifc titles and genres to match their needs and interests, including bilingual, wordless, touch & feel, STEM, and more.
We look forward to keeping you up to date on the success of the program!
Raising A Reader’s little red book bag has helped more than one million families develop, practice, and maintain the habit of sharing books. Thank you for all that you do to support child literacy through Raising A Reader!
You truly are changing the lives of children and families in need.
Yours in book sharing,
The Raising A Reader Team
