We offer organ donation and transplantation training for 1 healthcare professional and 2 weeks internship in a Spanish reference centre. This training will allow a team of professionals to learn more about this topic and start implementing it in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This will improve Bosnia's quality of life.
Bosnia - Herzegovina is home to 3.3 million people whose life expectancy is 77.4 years. There are currently 2693 patients in dialysis and 242 patients in the waiting list for kidney transplant 30 for liver and 12 for heart. Transplant coordinators, although appointed in each hospital remain untrained (with few exceptions), unrecognized by their hospital managements.
DTI Foundation will provide training to a healthcare professional who is willing to promote organ donation and transplantation practices through his/her team. A full TPM Advanced course which will include a 2 weeks internship in a Spanish reference centre. This will benefit the healthcare professional taught, their hospital and team and the local community.
Saving millions of lives. Saving billions of dollars. Using its proven model, DTI empowers its graduates with the critical knowledge needed to dramatically increase organ donations, train local medical experts as well as implement programs that reduce dependence on dialysis (costly, inconvenient and ineffective). Countries implementing DTI solutions as health care policy spare millions of families needless suffering. And governments can better mobilize their precious healthcare resources.
