Ann and the team of midwives at Mercy In Action send a big heartfelt "Thank You" to all the sponsors who donated toward helping to fund Ann'scollege courses to become a midwife. Ann is almost finished with her first semester of midwifery college, is getting good grades, and is still volunteering at Mercy In Action's Mercy Midwives Birthing Home in Olongapo,Philippines, located right next door to her home. Thanks to your generous support of this micro-project, Ann has her tuition for the full first year, and some money set aside towards the second year of her schooling as well.
Beging acutely aware of both the high maternal and infant mortality rate here in the Philippines, and the global shortage of trained midwives, we all hope you will realize how much your gifts toward Ann's tuition will impact many lives for years to come here in her home country, where this one bright young woman who had no hope of affording midwifery training without assistance is now in school and realizing her dream of becoming a midwife.
Ann says" Thanks to all my sponsors for this chance to serve as a midwife in my future".
